“We need to break the cycle,” said Albany Police Department Chief Eric Hawkins “and we need to help our community that are driving some of this violence.”

Nearly 2 hours later, another young man shot and killed on Hamilton Street.
Chief Eric Hawkins at a press conference Monday said 6 out of 10 of the homicide cases have domestic ties.
