The Big Bang Theory may be about to face its biggest challenge yet.
As Dr. Katy Clough, the Ernest Rutherford Research Fellow at Oxford University notes:
“…the new simulations (are) “very comprehensive.” And she also noted that computational advances have only recently made this kind of analysis possible, so the full range of conditions that inflation can handle remains uncharted”
Question:
- Should it turn out the new theory better fits the nature of our beautiful Universe, will it change anything at all?
- Does physics serve any religion’s foundational beliefs?
- How essential to an atheist’s worldview is the physics of the Universe’s origin (or, non-origin) story?
