On Friday, President Biden announced plans to ask Congress to fund a new and “improved” Covid-19 shot, indicating he would like to require everyone to take it, regardless of previous vaccination status.
Biden was asked while on vacation (he’s always on vacation), about the new variants of Covid and the supposed “surge” cropping up at a convenient time headed into election season while Pfizer stock was dropping.
“Yes, I can,” the president said. “I signed off this morning on a proposal we have to present to Congress a request for additional funding for a new vaccine that is necessary, that works.”
He added, “Tentatively it is recommended that it will likely be recommended everybody get it no matter whether they’ve gotten it before or not.”
A whole brand-new vaccine! For everyone!
Because the last one worked so well, why not just make a new one? And all we need is more of your taxpayer money. Pfizer obviously can’t spare it themselves.
