A former White House aide who testified during last year’s January 6 hearings that her boss destroyed potentially damning documents during Trump’s waning days in office aired more claims about the amount of materials supposedly lit ablaze.
Cassidy Hutchinson makes the claim in her upcoming memoir about her time as a top aide to then chief of staff Mark Meadows, adding to allegations made by the 27-year-old on May 17, 2022, on behalf of the federal government.
At the time, Hutchinson – a former Trump supporter-turned star witness in the historic proceedings – claimed her boss Meadows would regularly toss documentsinto his fireplace in DC over the course of December 2020.
