It was as if a full circle came full circle on a rainy day in early November 2021, when a crowd of perhaps a hundred people gathered on the grassy slope of Dealey Plaza in Dallas. They were followers of the conspiracy network Qanon. They were waiting for John F Kennedy Jr to arrive at the site where his father John F Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963.
They expected the former president’s son to take his rightful place as vice president of the United States, to rule the country together with Donald Trump.
Two years later we visit the Dallas lawn and John F Kennedy Jr still hasn’t appeared. He died in a plane crash in the summer of 1999. But such facts do not matter to anyone caught up in the realm of conspiracies.
