Dr. Shaida, who also trains newly qualified doctors in London, was reported in the Mail On Sunday as having called the deadly October 7 attacks on Israel, which killed around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, a “very welcome punch on the nose.”He also was reported to have referred to Hamas fighters as “brave Mujahideen.”
Pressing his guest, Morgan asked if he believed Hamas were a “terror group.”
“I believe it’s a resistance organisation,” Dr Shaida responded.
“Okay, do you think what they did on October 7th was a terror attack?” Morgan said.
“I believe that if civilians got killed on that day then it is appalling,” replied Dr. Shaida.
“If?” Morgan responded. “You’re a doctor, man! You’re a doctor in the NHS, 1,200 people got massacred!”
Returning to Hamas and October 7th, Morgan claimed his guest did not believe the attack happened. Dr. Shaida repeated that he did believe it happened, and that “1200 people were killed.”
Morgan prompted his guest further: “…by terrorists?”
“By people who were resisting an occupation,” Dr. Shaida said.
“Bullshit, they’re terrorists,” Morgan said, slapping his papers on the desk.
