Absurd moment MSNBC’s Joy Reid rips into Moms for Liberty Founder for seeking to ban school book that features underage kids discussing ‘blow jobs and strap-on dildos’

MSNBC host Joy Reid and Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice clashed over the organizations effort to ban books with sexually explicit material from schools.

The controversial host dug into Justice on parental rights and who gets to decide what books show be available in school libraries, on Friday.

During the interview Reid and Justice sparred over the book All Boys Aren’t Blue, a title that has been banned in 29 districts across the country.

‘What is the expertise that you have and other Moms for Liberty advocates have to decide that a book, an award-winning book like All Boys Aren’t Blue, isn’t appropriate for students read,’ Reid said.

Justice said, ‘In what context is a strap-on dildo acceptable for public school, I mean that’s my question to you.’

Tell me what the context around the strap-on dildo or the rape of a minor child by a teacher,’ said Justice.

Reid then questioned Justice about the main character of the book and said the Moms For Liberty co-founder was presenting herself as an expert on the book.

‘What I am saying to you is you are not an expert in this book,’ said Reid.

Justice said, ‘I don’t have to be an expert to know that dildos are not appropriate for public school, I mean come on let’s get real.’

Reid asked why shouldn’t a parent whose child might feel seen by this story have the right to let them read it.

Justice countered with saying if a child feels seen by this story that means they have been a victim of a predator.

Reid then accused her of claiming to be an expert again and asked her for proof that a child had been raped.

According to The Independent, a central chapter of All Boys Aren’t Blue focuses on sexual abuse author George M. Johnson experienced around age 13.

In September, Senator John Kennedy read a passage from the memoir during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

The passage he read said: I’ put some lube on and got him on his knees, and I began to slide into him from behind. I pulled out of him and kissed him while he masturbated. He asked me to turn over while he slipped a condom on himself.’

‘This was my a** and I was struggling to imagine someone inside me. He got on top and slowly inserted himself into me. It was the worst pain I think I have ever felt in my life. Eventually, I felt a mix of pleasure with the pain.’

During the interview, the two discussed an ‘opt-out form’ available in Broward County, Florida that allows parents to say their child cannot check out books from the library without their permission.
