‘This Congress is an embarrassment!’ Dan Abrams absolutely nukes House and Senate with bonkers stats on their historic futility

“Everybody loves to hate Congress, right? But this is a different level,” Abrams said on Dan Abrams Live on Wednesday evening.

He highlighted some of the accomplishments of the current Congress, but described them as peanuts compared to the issues that should be tackled. Among the wins for the 118th Congress are passing legislation to rename a federal building after Rosa Parks and the creation of a coin commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Marine Corps.

Congress, Abrams argued, should be more focused on passing legislation on issues like the border, citing the bipartisan border bill pushed by President Joe Bidenthat stalled this year.

Abrams then highlighted two pieces of failed legislation, one being an effort to rename Washington’s Dulles Airport after Donald Trump. Abrams played footage of Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) saying on Newsmax that the legislation was meant to “honor” Trump and Republicans should put their admiration for him in the “face” of Democrats.

Abrams also noted a bill from across the aisle proposing renaming a federal prison after Trump. He played footage of Reps. Gary Connolly (D-VA) and Ro Khanna(D-CA) talking and laughing about the measure on MSNBC.

“This is what our legislators are doing. They’re not passing bills that can actually do something for all of us. They’re playing games with their media counterparts,”
