Elon Musk fact-checks Kamala Harris after she falsely claims Trump would ‘ban abortion nationwide’

Elon Musk fact-checked Vice President Kamala Harris following President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate on Thursday night when she claimed Trump would end access to abortion across the United States.

On Sunday, Harris falsely claimed in a tweet, “Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide,” adding “President Joe Biden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women’s reproductive freedom.”

The X CEO replied, “He clearly said he would not do so in the debate.”

He later added in another post, “When will politicians, or at least the intern who runs their account, learn that lying on this platform doesn’t work anymore?”

During CNN’s presidential debate Thursday night, former President Trump said he “will not block” abortion pills or abortion medication if he is elected to another term in office.

After being asked about his stance on abortion and abortion medication during the debate, Trump said, “First of all, the Supreme Court just approved the abortion pill and I agree with their decision to have done that, and I will not block it.”
