I’ve noticed there are some very common things that theists say on this site, that would never ever be used in the opposite direction. The crown jewel is if I were to say:
“You don’t really believe in god, you just don’t want to sin. Also, my book says that everyone is without excuse and knows there is no god.“
I would never even be tempted to say something so arrogant. I would never tell you that you don’t really believe in god. If I’m having a conversation with one other person, I will always defer to their far superior knowledge on what they believe… because how the hell would I know? And yet some (not all) theists do this often. To the point where I would classify it is “extremely common” to be told that I know there is a god… I just want to sin. No, I don’t.
“If you’re not an atheist, then why do you talk about it so much?“
“The only reason you’re religious, is because something bad happened to you.“
