One of the biggest problems that Kamala Harris has in her campaign is that she is essentially the incumbent. She’s attached to all the failure of the Biden-Harris administration, from the economy and the border to Afghanistan and getting 13 young service members killed.
So how does she do that while still trying to argue that she represents a “new way forward” — a Mao-like expression that is actually one of her slogans?
Harris is promising things while not really explaining to anyone why she hasn’t already done those things since she’s occupying office now. She’s also trying to run away from her prior radical positions to get elected, acting as though she’s changed her mind with some pretty stunning and politically expedient flip-flops due to the likelihood that the American people wouldn’t elect her if she stayed with such positions.
Her senior spokesperson, Ian Sams — late of the White House Counsel’s Office — was on CNN, and Kasie Hunt raised this very question to him, saying Harris has been part of the Biden administration for the last three-plus years. Hunt said working-class people are telling CNN, “More of them are with Donald Trump than Kamala Harris. Why — what is it about what you guys have been doing for the last three plus years that explains that?” she asked. His response was incredible:
“We’ve got 60 days until the election. You know, we don’t have time to sit around and think about why, over the last few years, certain things may have happened or may not have happened. We’ve got to go win an election.”
It’s “really different,” he insisted. “It’s a new way forward.” Yeah, they have a new, communistic-like slogan. How is that different?
Hunt wasn’t buying it, asking what makes it “really different from what was going on the past few years?”
