In Luke’s gospel, the narrator tells us that it was Gabriel who impregnated Mary who seeing him and understanding his intentions she exclaimed “If thou fearest God, thou wilt not approach me” Gabriel said: “Verily, I am the messenger of the Lord, and am sent to give thee a holy son.” The same we read in Koran, ch. 19
Luke 1:26 King James Version And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
The same phrase is used all over the bible.
In Genesis 6:4 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB), we read…. 4 The N’filim were on the earth in those days, and also afterwards, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them; these were the ancient heroes, men of renown.
Genesis 16:2 And Sarai said to Abram, “Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children[a] by her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai. He went in to Hagar, and she conceived.
Ruth 4:13 13 Booz therefore took Ruth, and married her: and went in unto her, and the Lord gave her to conceive and to bear a son.
The phrase “to come in to, or unto somebody”, meant in antiquity to have sexual intercourse. As usual in many today Christian “translations” we read of different versions, even speaking of the “Most High” (the god El and his pantheon) in Evangelical Heritage version”, or “The Lord” alluding to Ba’al and the phrase came in to her or unto her was replaced by the “came to her”. I wonder why an angel needs to enter the room and not appear “spiritually”? Also in various translations, we read that Mary or Mariam was betrothed and in others, married to Joseph.
In the Hebraic roots Bible, ( https://www.coyhwh.com/en/bible/hebraicRootsBible.pdf ), we read that a cherub and not an angel entered to her and the name of the god is Elohim, Adonai or YAHWEH and that of messiah, is Yahshua.
(p 1250) Luke 1:26 And in the sixth month, the cherub Gabriel was sent from the presence of Elohim to Galilee to the city whose name is Nazareth, 27 to a virgin who had been betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David and the virgin’s name was Mariam. 28 And entering, the cherub said to her, Peace to you full of grace! Our Adonai is with you. You are blessed among women! 29 And seeing this, she was disturbed at his word, and considered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 and the cherub said to her, Do not fear, Mariam, for you have found grace from YAHWEH. 31 For behold you will receive conception and bear a son and you will call His name Yahshua.
What is a cherub or cherubin? Well, according to the Hebrew-Christian bibliography, they were monsters with four faces, nothing to do with the Greek word “angels”, a borrowed word that is translated in some “translations” as “messengers”. Shall I remind you of that all Hebrew cherub or angels are borrowed from the Babylonian and Akkadian demonology?
