Vice President Kamala Harris is narrowly leading former President Donald Trump in Michigan and is tied with the former president in Wisconsin, according to a pair of battleground state polls released Wednesday by Quinnipiac University that suggest momentum for the Democratic nominee.
With 13 days until Election Day, Harris leads Trump 49%-46% among likely voters in Michigan, the Quinnipiac poll taken Oct. 17 to 21 found. Green Party candidate Jill Stein and independent Cornel West each received support from 1% of likely voters.
A Quinnipiac University poll taken earlier this month, released Oct. 9, found Trump ahead of Harris in Michigan 50%-47%.
The survey released this week of 1,136 likely Michigan voters has a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points.
In Wisconsin, Harris and Trump are tied at 48%, according to a separate Quinnipiac poll of 1,108 likely Wisconsin voters taken during the same time frame. It represents a 2-point bounce for Harris since an earlier Quinnipiac poll this month found Trump leading in Wisconsin 48%-46%.
The latest Badger State poll also has a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points. The poll found all listed third-party candidates receiving support from less than 1% of likely Wisconsin voters.
