MAGA Floats Election Interference Claims as Kari Lake Loses

MAGA supporters have begun casting doubt on Republican Kari Lake’s loss to Democratic Representative Ruben Gallego in Arizona’s Senate election.

Lake, a staunch Trump ally who gained notoriety after claiming, without evidence, that her 2022 gubernatorial loss was due to election fraud, has yet to concede the race, which the Associated Press called for Gallego on Monday.

According to the AP, Gallego won with 50 percent of the vote to Lake’s 47.8 percent.

Dinesh D’Souza, a political commentator who supports Trump, has called for an audit of Arizona’s Senate race, “given Trump’s impressive win in the state.”

The Republican presidential candidate won Arizona with 52.3 percent of the vote, the AP reported, with 95 percent of votes counted. His Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, received 46.7 percent.

“We are now being asked to believe something that confutes any kind of common sense,” D’Souza said, “which is that the same number of people who voted for Kamala roughly voted for Kari Lake, and the same number of people who voted for Trump roughly voted for Gallego.”

X user @MJTruthUltra, a Trump supporter with 421,000 followers, also alleged election fraud, citing the fact that Gallego and Lake individually won more votes than Harris.

“What surprises me most is not the obvious cheating, but the sheer fact the RNC is dead silent on this,” the user wrote.

User @Sassafrass84, a self-described member of the MAGA movement with 354,000 followers, said Lake’s election was “being stolen for a second time.”
