President Donald Trump was quickly grilled for leaping on the defense of a U.S. military strike.
When asked on Sunday if Trump was worried about further escalations in the Caribbean, as Venezuela framed the attack as “illegal,” he responded: “What’s illegal are the drugs that were on the boat, and the drugs that are being sent into our country.”
“And the fact that 300 million people died last year from drugs. That’s what’s illegal,” he added.
