When a Californian mom came in from feeding the dogs and found the family’s cat Miss Wendy forlorn and unconsolable in the kitchen. She wondered why the animal was staring up at the soup cooking on the stove.
According to Fox26, the owner checked the security cameras to see what could have caused Miss Wendy such distress.
Miss Wendy decided to add her own meat to the family dinner.
It was a mouse.
Miss Wendy is a foster cat from SPCA Merced, and they shared stills from the video on their Facebook page:
The family said it was takeout for dinner that night.
A strange part of this story though is that cats dropping mice into soup became a trend about a month before this event happened.
