Dershowitz Breaks with Democrats, Warns of ‘McCarthyism’

Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz has declared his intention to campaign for Republican candidates, citing his alarm over the Democratic Party’s sharp leftward shift and what he perceives as erosions of constitutional due process.

Dershowitz joined a coalition of former Democrats endorsing GOP congressional candidates, emphasizing the need to counter partisan overreach in ongoing House committee investigations into alleged FBI misconduct.

He criticized the Democrats’ intensified partisanship and alleged abuses in investigatory processes, arguing that their control of Congress could lead to unchecked committee actions undermining fundamental rights.

Dershowitz said, “Not because I love the Republican agenda.

It’s because I’m totally frightened if the Democrats were to gain control of either House.”

.

Dershowitz stated, “They are moving toward the extreme, extreme left, and the only thing they care about is trying to hurt President Trump.”
