Was John the Baptist Elijah?

The Jewish religious leaders of Jesus’ time were well aware of the “return of Elijah’s prophecy” as I stated in my previous post. As Jewish, they certainly knew all Hebrew scriptures and presuppositions a messiah had to fulfill in order to be proclaimed such as!

It is also known from other paradigms that the Christian scribes, largely falsified and twisted many Torah’s verses to make them match to their messianic prophecies, starting from Genesis’ myth.

Hence, when at one time the rabbis had asked Jesus’ disciples to explain how Jesus could possibly have been the Messiah when it was obvious that many signs or miracles that never occurred were to suggest Messiah’s coming and since Elijah had not returned from heaven yet, the Apostles perplexed couldn’t answer this question, so they asked Jesus: ” Why do the Jewish leaders insist Elijah must return before the Messiah comes?”

Jesus answered by first affirming that this question was true as well as this prophecy indeed was true. He said: ” They are right. Elijah must come and set everything in order, further explaining:” In fact, he [Elijah] already has come, but he wasn’t recognized, and was badly mistreated by many. Then the disciples realized he was speaking of John the Baptist.” (Matthew 17:10-13)

However, the Christian scribes who wrote this myth some centuries after Jesus’ era, in their desperate attempt to prove that Jesus was the true Messiah, apparently ignored that John the Baptist was a Mandaean disciple, a follower of the pagan ethnic Gnostic sect of Hayyi Rabbi, considering himself as the only true prophet, while Jesus was a false! Besides, John the Baptist, as a supposed reincarnated Elijah did nothing according to the Hebrew presuppositions as a precursor of the messiah! As some scholars argue, the Gospels were written in Rome by scribes who ignored the Hebrew history, customs, toponyms and personages as many paradigms in the New Testament prove.

Isn’t it another falsification of the Christian scribes to prove that Yahshua was a messiah?

PS. Looking at the picture of the post, one may see the fake John the Baptist with the cross in his hand that it didn’t exist in his time, but many centuries after, namely in the 4th century.
