Recent polling, conducted in late September and early October, from the highly recognized Pew Research Center reports damaging figures that could jeopardize control of the House and Senate from the Republicans in the 2026 midterms, according to The Daily Beast. This has been an ongoing trend that has been accelerating in Trump’s second term.
The numbers continue to show the deteriorating conditions that Latinos feel are confronting them, which were caused by Trump, such as the direction of the economy, inflation, and safety for their family and friends because of mass deportations.
Mark Lopez, director of Pew’s Race and Ethnicity Research, told Reuters that “There’s no doubt that if people draw the connections to a particular administration or political party, this could have some political implications in coming elections.” And the numbers reflect the Latino view that Trump and the Republicans are on the chopping block.
