What do the following have in common?
Adam, Balaam’s talking ass, “the” hallowed Crucifixion, David, the Empty Tomb, the Fourth horseman, the angel Gabriel, Herod’s baby-killing frenzy, Isaac, Jesus, Kishi, Leviathan, Moses, Noah, Onan, the Passion narrative, Quirinius’ rule in his census that everybody should return to their town of birth, Rachel, Sara, Tamar, translating Urim stones, Vampires, the Witch of Endor, Xerxes’ nickname “Ahasuerus”, Yahweh and Zerubbabel?
I have a correct answer in mind… then again, perhaps you don’t think it correct…
They all demonstrably exist in fiction but do/did not demonstrably exist outside of fiction.
Do you agree with me, or do you think that you can show evidence sufficient to establish the reality of any items on my list (outside of the text of the Bible itself)?
