While US President Donald Trump was basking in the glory of his Venezuela operation to arrest President Nicolás Maduro on January 3, he indicated to Fox News host Sean Hannity that Mexican drug cartels could be his next target.
Though Trump has made no secret of the fact that oil figured as a prime motive for the US strike on Venezuela, he spoke at length about Venezuela’s drug trafficking activities during the interview, before mentioning Mexico
“We’ve knocked out 97 percent of the drugs coming in by water, and we are going to start now hitting land,” he told Hannity.
