President Donald Trump sparked alarm Tuesday after rambling through a “picture book” of what he called accomplishments from his first year back in office. During a marathon press conference, the 79-year-old frequently drifted off topic, revisiting childhood memories, boasting about NATO, and claiming Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado had effectively “given” him her Nobel Peace Prize.
Critics on social media described the appearance as “incoherent,” noting Trump spoke for nearly an hour before taking questions, including about his controversial interest in seizing Greenland. Progressive commentators, including Harry Sisson and Jack Cocchiarella, renewed calls for invoking the 25th Amendment. The comedian Rory Bremner was among many who could not believe what they were watching.
“Trump is declining in front of our eyes,” he wrote on X.
