Bridgeport Hospital’s Psychiatry Department has unveiled a new five-bed unit for Psychiatric Emergency Services in the hospital’s Emergency Department.
According to Bridgeport Hospital’s Facebook post, the additional treatment rooms expand the existing Psychiatric Emergency Services space and are meant to give patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies more room while maintaining the unit’s safety-focused design.
New interactive smart screens were added so patients can access therapeutic, educational, and calming materials.
