Matthew 2:13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” 14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”[c]
We read of nonsensical statements in the Hebrew-Christian mythology, namely, that for petty reasons, Yahweh used to kill and punish people, like Onan, Uzzah, David’s wives, Lot’s wife, etc and in other cases he “hardened hearts” to manipulate peoples’ decisions. However, in the case of his supposed divine family, he was completely incompetent to change up the Herod’s mind and to prevent the killing of thousands of Israelite innocent male infants. Did those infants have to perish for the sake of a show off?
Don’t you think that Yahweh run out of his wisdom, miracles and powers? Because how else can you explain this coward escape to Egypt?
