It is claimed that God is a loving and forgiving god. Nothing in the Bible seems to back this up. His first creations make one mistake. Does he explain what they did wrong and then forgive them? Nope. Curses them and all their descendants, and kicks them out of the pool. Throughout the OT, there is nothing but God showing he is not a forgiving being.
Of course, some say that as long as you confess your sins and accept him, you will be forgiven. How do we know this is true? The only way to find out if this is true, is to die. Can’t be verified? Are you sent to hell if God is in a crappy mood at the time?
Is God a vindictive, unforgiving entity? If not, what makes you think he is a forgiving god?
