Many theists say that no matter the explanation for the creation of it all, God is needed to cause it all. Nothing can cause itself. There must be something to cause it…God. But, if asked what caused God to exist…he always existed. He wasn’t caused. He always existed. If you claim the universe always existed, it isn’t possible. It needed to be caused. The eternal God is needed.
Special pleading. If anyone else uses the same logic and reasoning…they are wrong. Why does only God get this special treatment? Could it be a feeble attempt to keep the God creation from being blown out of the water? A way of not admitting the story is wrong?
Why does the God starting it all get a free pass with special pleading?
