For over a decade, champions of biblical, natural, and evidence-based marriage and family have tirelessly fought against the 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling that sought to redefine marriage nationwide to include same-sex unions. In 2025, excitement surged when Kim Davis’s case reached the Supreme Court — explicitly urging the justices to overturn Obergefell and restore marriage policy to the states. Yet, in November, the court quietly declined to take on the case, leaving the precedent untouched. Undeterred, dedicated advocates have only grown fiercer, charging forward with fresh resolve.

Katy Faust is a bigoted fraud.
I debated her extensively on her https://askthebigot.com/ blog.
After failing miserably to logically answer my questions, she removed that portion of her blog.
Let’s see how the religious anti-gay people respond to my questions, shall we?
How does denying 2 men or 2 women with children restore the children’s biological mother and father family?
If 2 men or 2 women with children marry, why does the missing biological mother/father mysteriously disappear from the child’s life?
Aren’t the estranged parents of all children of divorce entitled by law to shared custody of the estranged parent?
Why does shared custody end upon the children’s gay parent and same-sex partner enter into a legal contract, (marriage) but doesn’t if the gay couple does NOT marry?
The sociological study that concluded that children have better outcomes if their parents NEVER divorced compared to parents that DID. The study was based on the effects of divorce ONLY. The study is real and very accurate. It did NOT address the prime custodial parent entering into a new relationship, hetero or homosexual. It does not address same-sex parenting, or single parenting. So it’s clear that the religious right is abusing research to promote bigotry and hate.
They also argue that there are “studies” that “prove” opposite sex couples are superior than same sex couples, and that is simply not true. And one of the 4 “studies,” Regnerus was deeply criticized for many flaws. So, where does mom go if daddy re-marries a man?
And look at the sponsors of Katy Faust’s website, and tell me that this ISN’T a RELIGION ONLY “problem.”
