It is puzzling but also frustrating to see how people are framed in certain sectarian beliefs and that they are unwilling to accept scholars’ researches and conclusions mainly on religious matters.
Once these beliefs are instilled into their minds, mainly during their childhood throughout brainwashing, it is difficult to make them change up their mind, even exposing the most undisputable evidences.
Sometimes, they are forced to renounce “some” of their beliefs by cherry-picking the most harmless ones. For example, while in their “godsend” accounts, their gods claim that the earth is flat orbited by the sun, with a canopy full of store-rooms of rain, storm, hail and winds, they finally accept the scientific proofs of the contrary. You see, they do not want to embarrass themselves publicly, as if maintaining the rest of their superstitious beliefs on talking animals and trees, they do not prove it!
While the international bibliography proves the pagan and man-made origin of their deities and myths, they still believe in angels, demons, gods with their wives and concubines, their sons mating with earthly women, female spirits copulating with men and sticks turned into snakes.
The question is, “why they maintain their beliefs being proven false by scholars”?
