WASHINGTON — Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination during a deposition before the powerful House Oversight Committee on Monday as it investigates her links to the deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Maxwell, 64, answered no questions while appearing virtually from the federal prison camp in Texas, where she is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, conspiracy, and other crimes committed while in the service of Epstein, a source familiar with her testimony told The Post.
“We had many questions to ask about the crimes she and Epstein committed — as well as questions about potential co-conspirators,” Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) told reporters after the brief deposition.
