Mother ‘stabbed her own baby during bloodbath at family dinner’
An ‘intoxicated’ mother stabbed her own baby and caused a bloodbath at a family dinner, police say. Katherine Stepp, 38, reportedly slashed the four month-old boy during a Thanksgiving dinner at an acquaintance’s home in Prestonburg, Kentucky, last week. Stepp and her boyfriend Vondy Adam Jude turned up to their host’s place while drunk or high, it is alleged with the pair then reportedly taking her son outside. They are said to have been seen rubbing a mystery substance on the baby’s face, before a vicious argument broke out. Court papers seen by the Floyd County Chronicle said: ‘(A family member) advised that while in possession of Mr Jude he could see him rubbing something on the face of (the baby). ‘(The family member) advised that at this time Katherine Stepp was trying to stop him and started arguing.
