R&I NV — According to the narrative…
A. It was God’s plan to have Jesus die for Mankind’s failings
B. The Pharisees followed God’s plan.
C. Judas Iscariot was instrumental in Jesus’s arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, thus Iscariot played an essential part in God’s plan.
Since this narrative is considered true by most Christians, some questions:
- Given it was God’s plan, why do some Christians consider those of the Jewish faith to be guilty of the crime of killing Jesus? After all, the Pharisees followed God’s plan.
- Again…give it was God’s plan to have Jesus die for Mankind’s failings, why does Iscariot continue to be condemned by many Christians? After all, Iscariot played an integral part in God’s plan.
- This one may be easier to answer, but why did Iscariot feel such guilt that he caused his own death? [It’s easier to answer, because maybe Judas was not aware he was following God’s plan.
- Is it now time for Christians to celebrate the Pharisees–and Iscariot–for their part in the narrative?
