Marjorie Taylor Greene: I was ‘ambushed’ and ‘harassed’ by Guam National Guard members

Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene asked the Pentagon to withdraw National Guard troops from the U.S. Capitol after Del. Michael San Nicolas (D-GU) led a group of Guam National Guard members to Greene’s office on Monday.

Greene penned a letter to Defense Sec. Lloyd Austin and National Guard Bureau chief Gen. Daniel Hokanson alleging a “dangerous and troubling trend” of National Guard troops being used to “harass members of Congress and their staff.”

She then accused San Nicolas of using the troops to “ambush my office unannounced” and “subsequently video record my staff without solicitation or defense.”

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC last month, Greene said that Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars shouldn’t go to Guam.

“I’m a regular person. And I wanted to take my regular-person, normal, everyday American values, which is, we love our country. We believe our hard-earned tax dollars should just go for America, not for what? China, Russia, the Middle East, Guam, whatever, wherever,” she said.
