It’s me/zi/zoy again, Libby McTardo, and I’m literally shaking right now. Why? Because my TV keeps telling me how many men (BARF!) and women have died from COVID, but nothing about the other 62 genders.
Not only is this hateful, but it’s also factually incorrect. My roommate was a pansexual (only attracted to pots and pans) and died from COVID trying to escape our apartment. I had our front door welded shut for the lockdowns and Twilight jumped out the window. The dreaded virus took Xe’s life seconds after impact.
But was even one Covid death attributed to a pansexual? No. It was counted as a “woman”. How would they know? I live on the 56th floor. No one could tell the gender of that splat (Miss you, Twi! Kisses!!!)
