Putin attacking neighboring countries cannot understand why so many of Russia’s neighboring countries want to join NATO

What is it that they all have? As he oversees the invasion of Ukraine, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is still baffled as to why so many countries close to Russia are so keen to join NATO.

“Why do they all think they need a military alliance to protect them from invasions?” Putin wonders while watching the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops on a monitor. “As if Russia would ever pose a threat!”

In fact, many countries in Eastern Europe have been looking at Moscow with suspicion for years – a clear consequence of Western anti-Russia propaganda for Putin. “Of course, NATO is always trying to accuse us of some imperialist tendencies,” Putin says angrily while his army is bombing Kiev, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankovsk and other cities. “But it’s really annoying that half of Eastern Europe falls for it. Don’t they know that we only have peaceful intentions?”

One of the four phones on his desk rings. Putin picks up the phone. “How’s it going? And the air raids on Kiev? Wonderful! Ground troops and tanks advancing? Good! This war- er… this peacekeeping mission is going like clockwork! The Ukrainians will soon have learned that their fears of us are completely unfounded was.”
