Republicans in the House have reported receiving heavy handed pressure tactics from allies of Jim Jordan to back him for Speaker, including some reporting that their spouses received alarming anonymous texts that bordered on threats.

It’s not clear who was behind the texts to spouses of moderate GOP members, but it’s not surprising considering the tactic from Jordan’s camp all along has been to utilize near-extortion type pressure, including from Sean Hannity, on members who have refused to back Jordon.
Mass emails were sent by Hannity’s staff this weekend to moderate GOP members putting the weight of Fox News into a bullying campaign to make Jordan Speaker.
