‘We’ll see what happens’: Marjorie Taylor Greene teases future presidential run

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is 100 percent behind former President Donald Trump in 2024 — but she may have her own eyes on the Oval Office in future elections.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that Greene, a one-time adherent to QAnon and a peddler of many other assorted conspiracy theories, was asked this week about potentially running for the presidency in the future.

“Maybe, we’ll see what happens,” Greene replied. “I certainly love my country, and I’ll do everything I can to protect it.”

Greene has been seemingly lobbying to be Trump’s vice presidential pick, and she wondered aloud earlier this year if it would be “possible” that she would either be VP or a Trump cabinet official in his theoretical second term.

Many Trump insiders, however, have poured cold water on the idea and have said that Trump would be “stupid” enough to tap Greene as his VP given her history of pushing conspiracy theories about the Rothschild family funding space lasers that are being used to set forest fires in California.

That said, a report from Rolling Stone recently claimed that Trump “has even floated the idea of installing [Greene] at the Justice Department” even though she is not a lawyer.
