(WJW) – Elon Musk’s startup neurotechnology company, Neuralink, implanted a chip into a human patient’s brain for the first time over the weekend, the billionaire confirmed on social media.
Musk made the announcement on X Monday evening, saying the patient is “recovering well” and “initial results show promising neuron spike detection.”

According to the company’s website, the computer chip “is fully implantable, cosmetically invisible, and designed to let you control a computer or mobile device anywhere you go.”
On X, Musk said the company’s first product, called Telepathy, would allow “control of your phone or computer, and through them almost any device, just by thinking.”
