Jesus is Toast!

Jesus is Toast!

The one thing that the Christian religion has given us today is a weird sense when we can see the image of Jesus in everyday things.  Be it in the rear end of a dog, miss shaped fruit and vegetables, or something baked or toaster.  Yes, and there are those Christians that will pay handsomely for something that shows a likes ness of their saviour.  Not only has the so-called image of Jesus been seen on Toast, fish stick, and in 2004 a 10-year-old grilled cheese sandwich was sold for $28, 000.  In addition, the Virgin Mary and Pope Francis have also been embossed on toast.  But, is it a genuine likeness of Jesus, as the one being portrait in the west, is of Cesare Borgia, the son of the infamous Rodrigo de Borja y Borja (Borgia in Italian) who was Pope Alexander VI (1492-1503).  The western world has had the Borgia bastard imprinted on their minds for the last 500 years, courtesy of 15th and 16th-century papal nepotism.  We know Pope Alexander VI, from the blockbuster TV series, The Borgias (2011-2013).  Although the TV series showed Pope Alexander in a poor light thanks to the actor Jeremy Irons, the real historical character was even worse.
For instance, in 1493 he divided the world for the betterment of Catholic Spain, and Portugal.  Giving Spain the New World, and Portugal the Old, and the Eastern Oriental half to colonize, also granting both Catholic monarchs control of the churches in the lands they colonised.  Alexander was the foremost instigator of the torture and execution of the priest, Girolamo Savonarola (1452-1498) O.P. (Order of Preachers aka the Dominican Order) in 1498.  It is believed that both Cesare and Alexander were poisoned, however, Cesare recovered, but Alexander died.  The poison was said to belonged to the Borgias, and intended for a cardinal who was their host at a dinner, which was mistakenly given to themselves. [J.N.D. Kelly (1986), Oxford Dictionary of Popes, p. 254]
Is all this down to pareidolia, where devout Christians see things that non-believers only see scorched toast, or is there something more sinister at play.  Like a zealot Christian making some easy money, by painting the bread with an image before toasting, similar to the Shroud of Turin.  We know that God likes money, as George Carlin demonstrated many times: God loves you. He loves you and he needs money!
