CNN’s ratings reach 33-year lows after nearly a decade attacking Trump

Notable decline

Amidst fierce competition for viewership, the Cable News Network (CNN) is grappling with strategies to attract more viewers to its programs.

Recent data revealed a notable decline in CNN’s ratings, reaching a 33-year low.

Prominent voice

This decline is particularly significant for the network, which has portrayed itself as a prominent voice opposing former President Donald Trump for almost a decade.

Lowest-rated quarter

CNN’s challenges extended beyond just viewership figures to include its performance within the sought-after 25-54 age group, where it experienced its lowest-rated quarter since at least 1991.

The History Channel

In a notable development, the network’s prime-time viewership in January was surpassed by the History Channel and INSP, a network recognized for its Western TV shows and movies.
