A spokesperson for the National Republican Congressional Committee said it sparked outrage at Rep. Rashida Tlaib‘s (D-MI) congressional office when they dropped off a “F*** Hamas” T-shirt on Wednesday morning ahead of the vote on the bipartisan Antisemitism Awareness Act, a bill that supporters say help combat antisemitism on college campuses.

In a video given to the Washington Examiner by the NRCC, an unidentified female NRCC staffer is seen knocking on Tlaib’s congressional office door and handing a shirt to a staffer in her office. The staffer responds with a “thank you” and closes the door.

An NRCC spokesperson told the Washington Examiner that after leaving Tlaib’s office, the female staffer waited for the elevator and a member of Tlaib’s office, who she believed to be Michael Cobb, came running down the hall after her, repeatedly screaming, “Excuse me! Where are you from? That was very rude!”

The female NRCC staffer grabbed her phone to record Cobb.

“What did we do that was rude?” the NRCC staffer is heard asking him as he turned back to his office upon realizing she was recording him. “It’s a terrorist organization. Do you agree with Hamas?”

“Extreme House Democrats think it’s ‘rude’ to insult their favorite terror organization and the inspiration for the antisemitic campus protests they all support,” NRCC national press secretary Will Reinert said to the Washington Examiner. “It’s clear they’ll always side with Hamas over Jewish students’ safety.”
