Kirk previously criticized those comparing January 6th to 9/11
Thousands of people died on 9/11 and the JFK assassination was one that came as a shock the country. Trump’s conviction for his own crimes is not comparable to innocent people being killed.
9/11 was an attack on the country. January 6th was also an attack on the country, but Kirk has previous discounted the comparison and criticized Kamala Harris for doing so.
Kirk also claimed Trump’s conviction was “an attempted judicial and legal assassination.” Judge Merchan didn’t rule 100% with the prosecution or 100% against Trump’s defense team like some MAGA pundits suggest.
