Fox News Anchor Reveals Trump, Not Harris, is Preventing Network From Hosting Second Debate

Fox News anchor Bret Baier revealed that former President Trump, not Vice President Kamala Harris, is the reason the network has not secured a second debate between the candidates.

In a recent interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, Baier suggested that Harris would agree to a Fox debate if Trump were willing to participate. He noted that Trump appears hesitant, likely due to the high visibility of a Fox debate, which could draw an audience of millions.

“The latest is, I actually believe — this is me talking — that the Harris campaign would do a Fox debate, if the former president has come to the conclusion that there really shouldn’t be another debate,” the anchor said.

Baier emphasized that the true obstacle is Trump’s stance, despite his previous interest in a debate on the network. Meanwhile, Harris has accepted a debate invitation from CNN, highlighting her willingness to engage, unlike Trump, who remains noncommittal amid early voting in some states.
