Hurricane Milton is predicted to make landfall on the Florida coast sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning and a series of webcams from the coast have captured the growing storm surges and extreme weather.
As of Wednesday, the Category 4 hurricane had sustained winds of 130 mph and residents in the Sunshine State were beginning to feel the effects.
More than 17 million people were under tornado watches, and the National Weather Service in Miami said on social media it had “up to 4 visually confirmed tornadoes” Wednesday, with unofficial reports of others.
