Billionaire Elon Musk is reportedly in the process of creating a compound in Austin, Texas, where he plans for his 11 children and two of their three mothers to reside. The compound consists of a 14,400-square-foot home and a neighboring house with six bedrooms, with a combined value of $35 million.
Musk’s goal with the Austin compound is to have his children and two of their mothers live in close proximity to each other. One of the properties reportedly serves as the home of Shivon Zilis, with whom Musk has three children. The Tesla CEO also shares five children with ex-wife Justine Musk and three with Claire Boucher, known as “Grimes,” with whom he is engaged in a custody battle.
Musk has expressed concerns about declining birth rates in the U.S. and other countries, stating that a population collapse is imminent. Despite this, he continues to expand his family and is taking steps to ensure that his children are able to live near each other in the Austin compound.
When reached for comment, Tesla did not provide a statement from Musk regarding the reported compound. It remains to be seen how the development of this compound will progress and what impact it may have on Musk’s personal life and his views on population growth.
