Hi
If you believe wrongly in the Trinity, a later adoption into Christianity, then you believe in a mathematical impossibility that one is three, and three is one! In the early gospels, there was no Trinity mentioned, no god Jesus, Jesus was not divine, just a human born from the union between Mary, and a man.
This is what the late great biblical scholar Dr. Bruce M. Metzger says on 1 John 5:7-8, better known as the Johannine Comma, which refers to the trinity verses. Metzger wrote: After μαρτυροῦντες the Textus Receptus adds the following: ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ, ὁ Πατήρ, ὁ Λόγος, καὶ τὸ Ἅγιον Πνεῦμα· καὶ οὗτοι οἱ τρεῖς ἔν εἰσι. 8 καὶ τρεῖς εἰσιν οἱ μαρτυροῦντες ἐν τῇ γῇ. “That these words are spurious and have no right to stand in the New Testament!” Metzger was referring to the additional wards added to the 7th, and 8th verses of 1 John 5. See link, the forged words are in RED, https://www.bible-researcher.com/comma.html.
There are several passages in the New Testament, too numerous to attach, of Jesus stating that the father in heaven had sent him or God ha chosen Jesus to be his only-begotten son. However, the oldest manuscripts contain the words “only-begotten God,” which does not refer to Jesus. The more famous of these quotes is when Jesus is on the so-called cross: And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”—Matthew 27:46, Mark 15:34. So I Ask, how can Jesus be part of a Trinity, when God the father allows one member of the trio to die?
