Today, I’d like to bring up what I heard on another thread. According to this user, another user here is a “criminal.” When I asked why, this user had this to say:
“Criminals know they are wrong but do it anyway.”
Obviously, that didn’t seem like a very good reason, so I pressed them further. As it turned out, there was another reason why they believed the other user was a “criminal”:
“He willfully rejects Jesus.
He admits it.
duh”
I then proceeded to point out that, back in the Middle Ages, not believing in Jesus was a crime punishable by death in most of the Christian world. He ignored this and continued:
“Whoosh
Where did I say he should be executed, liar?
He condemns himself.
As you do.”
Later on, I asked him what law today made not being Christian a crime. His response was as follows:
“The law of faith.”
What do you think of this exchange? Should not following the Christian faith be a crime as it was hundreds of years ago?
