Just now, I came across a statement Mike Johnson made today about a country’s borders. You can read the whole article in the link, but I’m going to highlight the relevant passage here:
“”Sovereign borders are biblical and good and right, and they’re just because — it’s not because we hate the people on the outside, it’s because we love the people on the inside,” the speaker argued. “We should love our neighbors ourselves as individuals, but as a civil authority, and the government has to maintain the law.”
Let’s not beat around the bush and get right to the question.
If, according to the Speaker of the House, “Sovereign borders are biblical and good and right”, then why is the president he works for trying to take over the sovereign territory of one of America’s oldest allies? Is Trump metaphorically spitting in God’s face by doing so?
