Why is The Call of Nature and Other Bodily Functions so Abhorrent to Religion?

Hi

Why is The Call of Nature and Other Bodily Functions so Abhorrent to Religion?

Christians are not only meek and bow to acknowledge their unseeing God, like slaves, they must also make sure that their God does not put his ‘feet in it!’  “It,” being SHIT*/Faeces/Excrement/Shite/Crap/Stool/Muck/Kak/Dung or Manure.  The Bible is quite adamant on this matter, even Night Emissions/Wet Dreams are frowned upon as unclean acts. Let alone if one was farting, ṣanāḥu, rhech, feorting or flatulence, which was seen in the Akkadian culture of the Middle-East that the perpetrator of the anal discharge was disgusted or displeased!  Which was later adopted by the diaspora Jew of Babylon. Yet, humans or any animal life cannot live without defecating or flatulating!  They are natural bodily functions, which religionists look upon as an impure act! Spending a penny while visiting the loo without a trowel/spade, would be seen as immoral and offensive to God. Not only that, the one relieving (call of nature) him or herself would have to go outside the city, town, village, hamlet, camp. Even those with Night Emissions would not be allowed back within their community, not even when evening comes until He or she has bathed in water, and as the sun sets, he/she may return to their community. Three perfectly natural bodily occurrences which are seen as offending their God! One has to think that this God has designed faulty creatures, and has throughout the history of the Bible tried on several occasions to annihilate his inventions.

What The Bible Says!

Defecating

“You shall have a place outside the camp, and you shall go out to it. And you shall have a trowel with your tools, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it and turn back and cover up your excrement. Because the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, so that he may not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you. Deuteronomy 23:12-14 ESV.

Night Emissions/Wet Dreams

“If any man among you becomes unclean because of a nocturnal emission, then he shall go outside the camp. He shall not come inside the camp, 11 but when evening comes, he shall bathe himself in water, and as the sun sets, he may come inside the camp. Deuteronomy 23:10 ESV

Feorting/Farting/Flatulating

14When she came to him, he incited her to ask her father for a piece of land. As she sat on the ass, she broke, wind, and Caleb said, ‘What did you mean by that?’ Judges 1:14 NEB

However, Christians translators whitewash or glossing their scriptures for decency sake, but not for ‘ word for word’ translation authentication!

14When she came to him, she urged him to ask her father for a field. And she dismounted from her donkey, and Caleb said to her, “What do you want?” Judges 1:14 ESV

And

What of Isaiah 26:17-18 Like a pregnant woman who writhes and cries out in her pangs when she is near to giving birth, so were we because of you, O Lord; we were pregnant, we writhed, but we have given birth to wind. We have accomplished no deliverance in the earth, and the inhabitants of the world have not fallen.

Well, one can say the midwife next to her when she passed wind fell flat on her face gasping for air!!!

Etymology

* SHIT comes from the acronym Store High In Transit, which was when ships under sail brought guano (accumulation of bird/bats excrement and other fertilizer that was accumulated from animal droppings from various foreign places). Many horticultural societies depend on this type of manure. Guano is a highly effective fertilizer due to its exceptionally high content of nitrogen, phosphate and potassium: key nutrients essential for plant growth. Guano was also, to a lesser extent, sought for the production of gunpowder and other explosive materials. That is why one should never be feorting by a naked flame!

What do you Say?

Keep Safe!
