ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) – The parents of a local Marine who publicly spoke out about the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan in August are now speaking out. Their son, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, is now in a military prison for violating a gag order last weekend.

Lt. Col. Scheller hasn’t been formally charged, but he’s been in prison since Monday. His parents say that’s the last time they talked to him. He told them two things: Call his attorney and tell his story.

Stu and Cathy Scheller said their son posted a video questioning his superiors after the chaos following the evacuation from Afghanistan on Aug. 26.

“He’s the commander of the Advanced Infantry Training Battalion. It was a day after that first post; they removed him from his job that Sunday. Three days later, he resigned. On Monday, they called him in for a psych evaluation. The pressure began the minute he hit ‘sent’ on that first post,” said Stu.
