Why Nikki Haley thinks she’s going to be Republican presidential pick

Indian-American Nikki Haley, fresh from the first Republican primary debate held last month, has confidently asserted that she believes she will be the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential elections. In a recent interview with CBS News’ ‘Face the Nation,’ she expressed her belief that any Republican candidate would be a better choice than the current US President, Joe Biden, and his running mate, Kamala Harris.

Regarding the former party front-runner and her former boss, Donald Trump, Haley stated that she does not anticipate him becoming the presidential nominee. She emphasized her faith in the American people’s ability to make the right choice, asserting, “I don’t think President Trump’s going to be the nominee. I think it’s going to be me.”

“The American people are not going to vote for a convicted criminal. The American people are going to vote for someone who can win a general election. I have faith in the American people.

They know what they need to do,” Haley said, who served as a US ambassador to the United Nations under the Trump administration.
